Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive framework to equip the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct effective audits of governmental entities. We will start with an introduction to governmental audits, governments audit standards and guidelines, and then take the participants all the way through the audit process with tips and tricks for concluding and reporting the results.Audits
Participants will learn how to understand the governmental entity and the environment that the government operates in, understand how the entity’s internal controls play a significant role in the audit process, the significance of the government’s IT system, and the important process of identifying risks.
APIPA conference sessions are intended for island government accountability professionals. Audit, budget, finance, accounting, and related management and staff members will find interest and value in this presentation.
