Course Description
To achieve successful grant outcomes, projects funded through grants must be effectively planned, implemented, monitored, and managed throughout the grant lifecycle. Learn the principles, tools, and practices of project management as applied to grant-funded programs and activities, including project planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, performance monitoring, risk management, and reporting. Explore methods for aligning project activities with grant objectives, managing timelines and resources, documenting progress, and addressing implementation challenges to support compliance and successful outcomes. Course material is aligned with leading project management practices and grant management requirements.
• Identify and apply project management principles, tools, and practices relevant to grant-funded projects.
• Describe the phases of project management for grants, including planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and project closeout.
• Apply appropriate methods to define project scope, manage schedules and resources, monitor performance, address risks, and document project activities and outcomes.
• Describe the purpose and use of project plans, timelines, performance measures, stakeholder communication, and reporting processes to support successful grant implementation and compliance.
