Course Description

This session provides an overview of fraud examination, its history, detection methods, fraudster personalities, and what not to do when auditing for fraud.

What You Will Learn

After successful completion of this course, participants will learn:

History of the study of fraud,
Ways to detect fraud,
Accounting anominals related to fraud,
Characteristics and personality of a typical fraudster, and
Things auditors sometimes do not do well when auditing for fraud.

Dr. Mark Morgan is a Professor of Accounting at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS as well as a Visiting Professor at the University of Guam in Mangilao, GU. He holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He was a Past President of the Central Mississippi Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners.
