Course Description

Pandemic relief funds provided through the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the American Rescue Plan of 2021 has resulted in a large number of grants being awarded to aid in the fight against Covid 19 to many first-time recipients.

This course provides you the information and best practices to guide and assist first -time recipients awarding, managing, reviewing, or auditing contracts issued using pandemic relief funds.

What You Will Learn

Upon the completion of this course, you will be able to:

Explain the requirements under 2 CFR 200 for contracts awarded under grants.
Compare different types of contracts allowed under grants.
Describe the role of grant recipients and others involved in awarding, managing, and closing out contracts awarded under grants.

The course will also cover the following topics:

Overview of Contract Auditing
Methods of Contracting
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Performing the Audit

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for first time recipients of federal grants including grantees, pass-thru entities, sub-contractors, monitoring officials, finance officials, and auditors.

Tuition Fees

With funding support from the United States Department of the Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, courses are available free of charge for government accountability professionals within the insular areas.
