Course Description

Audit organizations world wide have been affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Even if you are not conducting a COVID-19 specific audit, auditors conducting audit work during the pandemic, or whose scope of work falls within the period of the pandemic, may face obstacles that can increase their audit risk including the unavailability of key staff, the inability to access key information, and the inability to follow established controls.

What You Will Learn

Discuss considerations audit teams need to make when conducting audit work with a scope that falls within the time period of the pandemic
Review tips for mitigating audit risk and reporting scope limitations

Who Should Attend

APIPA conference sessions are intended for island government accountability professionals. Audit, budget, finance, accounting, and related management and staff members will find interest and value in this presentation.

Tuition Fees

With funding support from the United States Department of the Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, courses are available free of charge for government accountability professionals within the insular areas. Beth Schubert

Lakewood, CO

Beth Schubert is the Director of the Special Drinking Water Projects Directorate in the Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General. Her directorate focuses on the oversight of approximately $24 Billion in funding provided through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for the removal of lead service lines and the reduction of emerging contaminants in drinking water. She has 21 years of federal auditing experience including approximately 12 years working with the U.S. Insular Islands.
