Course Description

The island governments are in the news as they step forward to lead the fight to halt climatechange. Going green in the workplace brings the fight homeand enables everyone toparticipate. While “going green” might mean different things to different people, our definitionwill be “making conscious and sustainable choices.” We will take a look today at identifyingchoices that can be made and creating plans for action

Who Should Attend

APIPA conference sessions are intended for island government accountability professionals. Audit, budget, finance, accounting, and related management and staff members will find interest and value in this presentation.

Tuition Fees

With funding support from the United States Department of the Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, courses are available free of charge for government accountability professionals within the insular areas. Dr. Yamamura (CPA, PhD) brings to more than thirty years of experience in industry and academia to the PITI-VITI training team. She is licensed as a CPA in California and Nevada, and teaches a variety of custom-built courses to Pacific and Virgin Islands professionals.
