Course Description
This two-hour workshop will walk through the APIPA peer review manual and describe the peer review process and the forms and documents that peer review teams collect and prepare as part of an APIPA peer review. We will cover planning for a peer review, conducting the on-site review, and preparing the peer review reports at the end of the review. This workshop focuses on the practical work of an APIPA peer review team.
We will cover the contents of the APIPA Peer Review manual and the steps to prepare for a peer review and to complete while the peer review is underway. This is a practical workshop on the APIPA peer review process.
This is a practical review of the peer review manual intended for peer review team members and leaders who will perform an APIPA peer review.
With funding support from the United States Department of the Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, courses are available free of charge for government accountability professionals within the insular areas. The course fee is waived and there is no cost to register and attend, Professionals who do not meet the above criteria, please contact [email protected].

Vincent Duenas began his government-auditing career in 2003 as a staff auditor with the Guam Office of Public Accountability. Through the years, he successfully climbed the OPA ranks as a Management Analyst I, Management Analyst II, and Auditor III / Audit Supervisor and became a part of OPA’s management team before moving on to the Guam Waterworks Authority as the Internal Auditor. In 2017, Vincent had the opportunity to move back to the OPA and currently serves as an Accountability Auditor III / Audit Supervisor.
