Course Description
Are you faced with tough decisions about how to handle sensitive situations in your mission? Explore the ethical hazards and dilemmas facing officials and review methods of analyzing and resolving them in this participative workshop. Come away with a skill-set for dealing with the common, right vs. wrong hazards (temptations) and the more difficult right vs. right conflicts or dilemmas that auditors face. Also, learn ways to mitigate the risks, fortify the courage associated with carrying out ethical decisions, and review how to integrate effective ethics control systems into an organization.

This course is designed for decision makers, such as finance and financial management officers and action official in the Republic of Marshall Islands.
With funding support from the Project to Strengthen Budget Execution and Financial Reporting Systems (PFM), courses are available free of charge for RMI government PFM professionals. Bernard J. Adiniwin started working for the Government in 2001 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in a number of positions for 12 years. Bernard was appointed by the Public Service Commission in March 28, 2022, as the Attorney-General, which received the concurrence of the Cabinet as required under the Constitution of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Drummond Kahn serves on the faculty of the Graduate School USA, training auditors and financial managers in the U.S. and overseas. Since 1990, Mr. Kahn served in federal, state, and local government auditing positions.

Mr. Patrick was appointed on January 11th, 2011 as the 4th Auditor-General of the Government of Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). As Auditor-General, he is responsible for auditing and/or supervising the audit of all public funds and accounts of the Marshall Islands including those of all departments or offices of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the government and of any public corporation or other statutory constituted under the law of the Marshall Islands.

Kino S. Kabua is currently the Chief Secretary and has been in her position since March of 2020. Prior to that, she was the Deputy Chief Secretary overseeing the National Disaster Management Office in the Marshall Islands, having joined the Office of the Chief Secretary in 2015.
