This virtual course will be delivered regionally via Zoom.

Registration is open to insular government professionals.

With funding support from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), this course is offered free of charge to personnel from the US Virgin Islands Department of Health and to recipients of grants from the Department. The course fee is waived, and there is no cost to register or attend.

Course Description

This one-day course provides public health service organizations serving island communities with a comprehensive overview of essential grant management skills and key regulatory requirements. Participants will learn the fundamentals of managing federal grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with regulations such as 2 CFR 200. The course will focus on practical strategies for maintaining accountability, optimizing resource use, and meeting grant objectives in the unique context of island territories. Through real-life scenarios and hands-on exercises, attendees will gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate the complexities of grant management effectively.
