Course Description
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (Cares) Act has increased the use of contracts at the Federal, State and Local government level. One of the challenges in contracting is to ensure that the prices being paid for goods and services are fair and reasonable. To achieve that end, the role of the auditor is essential. This course will deal with the auditor’s role in contract auditing and will emphasize the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate contract proposals and audit contractor billings.

With funding support from the United States Department of the Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, courses are available free of charge for government accountability professionals within the insular areas.
