Course Description

If your governmental organization had federal expenditures during the year, your organization may be subject to a Single Audit. However, not all organizations are subject to Single Audits. This session will provide an overview of the Single Audit Act, the Uniform Guidance, and the OMB Compliance Supplement, and will focus on the auditee’s responsibilities during the Single Audit process.

What You Will Learn

After successful completion of this session, participants will:

Have a better understanding of the Single Audit Act, Uniform Guidance, and the OMB Compliance Supplement
Become familiar with the auditee's responsibilities during the Single Audit Process

Daniel Fitzgerald, CPA

Guam

Dan has been the Office Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP and a member of the Deloitte Southeast Asia Board of Directors. Dan leads the public sector practice with over 40 years of public accounting experience, servicing a wide variety of clients in the region. He has extensive experience in providing auditing, accounting, consulting, and training services to a significant number of governmental and not-for-profit entities.

Mizpah Wiegand, CPA

Guam

Mizpah Wiegand is an audit senior manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, specializing in the performance of audits of federal awards in compliance with the Single Audit Act. Mizpah began her career with Deloitte in 1991. With nearly 30 years of experience performing Single Audit engagements, she leads the Single Audit compliance and education efforts for the Audit and Assurance practice. She is instrumental in the development and delivery of Single Audit compliance training.
