Mizpah Wiegand, CPA

Guam

Mizpah Wiegand is an audit senior manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, specializing in the performance of audits of federal awards in compliance with the Single Audit Act. Mizpah began her career with Deloitte in 1991. With nearly 30 years of experience performing Single Audit engagements, she leads the Single Audit compliance and education efforts for the Audit and Assurance practice. She is instrumental in the development and delivery of Single Audit compliance training. During her career she has participated in internal and external training events in Guam and Micronesia, delivering topics relating to the Single Audit Act and ethics.

Mizpah graduated as Valedictorian from the University of Guam, holds a B.B.A. in Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Guam. She also earned the AICPA Advanced Single Audit Certificate.

This session will provide an overview of the Single Audit Act, the Uniform Guidance, and the OMB Compliance Supplement, and will focus on the auditee’s responsibilities during the Single Audit process.
