Course Description

Legislative Updates –This session is led by Vince Camacho, Esq., Managing Principal of the law firm Camacho Calvo Law Group LLC and the SHRM Guam Chapter's VP of Legislative Affairs, and the recent host for the SHRM National 2021 Workplace Policy Conference. Vince will provide recent and relevant employment law updates, both at the federal and local level, helping you stay compliant with the latest employment laws and regulations.

People Analytics – This session is led by Daphne Leon Guerrero, HR Director for Citadel Pacific and the SHRM Guam Chapter’s President. There is a growing interest in people analytics as a way to connect people data with business insights to inform data-driven decision making and solve business problems. This session will introduce the analytics maturity levels and key measures managers can use for recruitment, performance management, and compensation challenges.

Vince Camacho, Esq.

Guam

Vince C. Camacho is the managing principal in the firm’s Guam law office of Camacho Calvo Law Group LLC. His practice includes a range of matters including administrative law, business formation, corporate law, consumer and commercial banking, estate planning, government procurement, labor and employment, land use, taxation and probate. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Camacho has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Laws in Taxation.

Daphne Leon Guerrero, SHRM-SCP, CAPM

Guam

Daphne Leon Guerrero has been an active volunteer for both the local SHRM Guam Chapter and the Pacific State Council since 2015, serving in the roles of Registrar, Treasurer, and Certification Director prior to her current role as President. She is a huge proponent of certification and has attained professional certification in Human Resource and Project Management. In addition to her volunteerism with her local SHRM organizations, Daphne is the HR Director for Citadel Pacific, a Philippine-based multinational organization with holdings in Telecommunications and Petroleum, where she oversees HR operations for their companies in Guam, CNMI, and Palau. On the weekends she is an adjunct professor at the University of Guam where she teaches two courses in Total Rewards and Workforce Management to junior and senior-level undergraduate students.
