Many organizations have embarked on an Agile journey with the hope of doubling productivity to achieve better results. In the quest for outsmarting the competition, they have fallen into a trap of misunderstanding what Agile truly is. Consequently, many Scrum (process agile) initiatives have resulted in many pain points that could be categorized as abuse, waste, and fraud. "Fraud Waste and Abuse: Is defined as the overutilization of services, or other practices that directly or indirectly result in unnecessary costs. Waste is generally not considered to be caused by criminally negligent actions but rather the misuse of resources." As such, the purpose of this presentation is to share with the participants the signs of potential fraud, waste, and/or abuse as a result of misinterpretation and misimplementation of Agile in general - agile ain't as easy as it looks.
